Happy Easter 2021
Happy Easter!
Alleluia!
As from the land soaked with dew, warmed and illuminated by the rays of the sun, life germinates unstoppably, so the soul, soaked in grace, is revived, transformed and bears new fruits.
Resurrected, the King of glory, victorious over the darkness of death, brings into the grayness of our daily lives a flash of light that illuminates to the core and brings us new life.
May the Love fill our hearts with love that can warm broken hearts, heal wounds and awaken hope that has been extinguished.
Revived Lamb, wash us from all our sins with the power of your shed Blood. Lift up limp limbs and infuse new courage into frightened hearts.
The Victor over death, bring us into Life and revive our graves. Arouse in us longing for true living and for an encounter in Eternity.
Eternal Truth, enlighten the darkness and disperse all the lies that deceive us and lead us into the beauty of watching Your Face.
Risen Redeemer, by the power of your Spirit gather us into one. Let us be faithful witnesses to the newness of life and let the unstoppable wave of joy spread all around us.
Happy and blessed Easter! Alleluia!
From the bottom of our hearts we thank to all the benefactors who have been helping us and still who help us in the reconstruction of our convent damaged in the earthquake, as well as for the prayers and support in all the needs of our community.
In prayers with all of you,
Your Poor Clare Sisters

ZA OBNOVU NAŠEG SAMOSTANA
Draga braćo i sestre, prijatelji i dobročinitelji, poštovani posjetitelji naše stranice!
s. Marija Ivana Dolinar,
opatica Samostana sv. Klare

Dear brothers and sisters, friends and benefactors, respected visitors of our web-page!
For the first time we publish a notice on our site where we ask for help. The text below gives an insight into the condition of our convent buildings.
The devastating and powerful earthquake that hit Zagreb and its neighbouring counties on the 22 March 2020, has caused serious damage to the older building of our Convent. A detailed examination from certified static and architectural institutions, found that the partition walls have separated themselves from the load-bearing structure and have cracked as a result of this earthquake. The wooden ceiling beams have twisted and are of questionable stability. Moreover, as the remaining part of this older complex in general is of questionable mechanical resilience and stability, the experts are of the opinion that it is not profitable to restore this, but rather it is necessary to completely rebuild it.
On the 29 December 2020, another strong earthquake that hit Petrinja, which is about 40 km from Zagreb, caused additional damages to the buildings of our Convent and also of our Church.
